About me
| Triathlon My name is Luna de Bruin (2003). I was born and raised in the little village Wijk aan Zee at the west coast of The Netherlands. As long as I can remember we were always running, cycling, hiking in the mountains and doing all kind of outdoor activitities. I played field hockey for many years from the age of 6. At that time me and my brother already participated in fun triathlon and running events. From the age of 14 I started to become addicted to triathlon and (mountain) trail running. After finishing high school (Gymnasium Felisenum), I moved to the south of The Netherlands to join the National triathlon centre. As many athletes, I dream of participating in the Olympics. The coming years I will concentrate on becoming the best athlete possible. We will see where this will bring me in the future. |
Trail running Although I live in one of the most flat countries of the world, me and my family love the mountains. Every holiday was spent hiking and running up and down the Alps in Austria, Italy, France, etcetera. These holidays were the start of my biggest passion besides triathlon: trail running, sky running, mountain running, whatever you call it. I am extremely happy running on trails going up and down with great views. In 2019, I became second in the Youth World Championship Sky Running and one day you will see me in my dream race: The Ultra Trail the Mont Blanc. | |
